The law center provides direct representation to New Yorkers who are underrepresented and who cannot afford to hire a lawyer. We are the only public interest law firm focused primarily upon representing the deaf and hard of hearing community in New York City.
The law center acts as a catalyst for organizing a community of lawyers to expand their pro bono participation by referring matters to volunteer counsel.
The law center introduces undergraduate students to the practice of law. Student interns assist the law center and pro bono counsel with actual client matters.
