To accomplish its goals and increase its capacity to serve its constituency, the law center also acts as a catalyst for organizing a community of lawyers to expand their pro bono participation through publicizing the legal needs of the deaf community and referring cases to volunteer counsel. The law center guides the volunteer attorneys as they work with the deaf population by introducing the attorneys to the culture of the deaf community and providing sign language interpreters to facilitate communication.
